So, I'm sorry I have to post yet again, but this one is compelling and I need to share it with anyone willing to read this. And even though it is not Lenny-related, please take the moment to read about my little hero.......

Over the last few years I have been looking and laughing at the antics of one fellow human being on YouTube. Namely a sweet yet feisty young gal by the name of Talia Joy Castellano.

I happened upon her by accident one evening when I was on YouTube and commenced upon her journey.

She had many many videos for young girls her age about make-up and make-up application. Normally I would not gravitate to such youth and fun but I was driven to go view them. She wished to become a make-up artist when she grew up......

......and she never got the chance.

Sadly she passed away recently, as the 2 types of aggressive cancers overtook her little body. It was awful to read this news and even though I had never met her, I shared in her
"joy" in discovering different make-ups and their applications.......I still luv make-up even though I am a mid-aged woman...and this young teen captivated me with her often hilarious commentaries, sage wisdom and brave fight against her childhood cancers.

Yes, make-up sounds frivolous to some, but to this little girl it was her vehicle to share with her fans. To help her forget her treatments, procedures and her pain and suffering, if only for a while......I connected on some level and watching her youthful giddiness, spirit, fun and discovery made me realize what an amazing and positive person she was,

I do not have any children and I cannot comprehend the tremendous loss of this vibrant and wonderful teen, who left this world, despite her fierce and often painful battle, at the tender age of 13.

If you want to take a moment to get to know who Talia was, I urge you to see her site at:

She was a beautiful soul. A brave soul. One beyond her years in wisdom.

Rest eternally Talia, and know your legacy will continue to flourish through your fans of all ages and races.

And to me personally, you are a little hero.

I just had to write about this sweet brave young teen who endured so much in her short little life. I do hope you can go see some of her videos on YouTube which illustrate the joy de vivre she had despite all.
    Godspeed Talia.
