I just got done viewing "Looking Back on Love." There is one moment that clearly stands out for me, when Lenny speaks about the song "dream!" A tear fell down my cheek! One question kept coming up for me: does Lenny ever find the time to build relationships outside of his music and business circles?

I suppose it is difficult to separate his image and stardom from his personal existence outside of fame? I mean, he clearly is a down-to-earth individual that happens to co-exist with the flow of creativity, in relationship to his personal life! And I can see how important his personal space is for balance! He is very lucky to have a place of solitude as the pic reveals! I can also see deceit within some of the relationships he has! Not all individuals, in a ring of money, are selfless! Just the opposite rings true! He has found co-existence in this paradigm!

I'm a newbie to this website and a long time fan of LK. I just purchased the DVD and I must honestly say, I felt his spirit. I love how he speaks of the first dark night he arrived to Eluthera on the mailboat. He knew his life would be forever changed when the sun came up.

His body movements while creating his music resonated with the many times I have been in the studio with someone I love. You just feel their passion in every move, in every gesture, in every beat. It was almost too much for me to watch! I just wanted to hug him and love him and kiss him...

He's on another level - spiritually speaking. That man is literally waiting for God to bring him together with someone that is equally yoked. You can hear it in his voice. He's ready for the ultimate unfoldment of love in his life.

Oh lord have mercy on my soul....

Well, don't really know where to start on this one! Had the biggest smile from ear to ear while watching this beauty. I think it just epitomizes all the reasons why I love and admire Lenny and his music so much! It really is an honour to be able to witness the dedication and love that Lenny has for what he does. Sharing the creative process of the BAWA album with us, has been a true gift. So many great moments in the film; when he sings "Faith of a Child" ( I had tears rolling down my face!), "Liquid Jesus" in Paris was divine! LeRoy swimming in the sea! Mathieu Bitton sure works wonders with a camera! he has such an exquisite eye for light, colour and angle!
I love the scenes with Lenny talking to the camera sitting outside his trailer and on the beach. His thoughts on his life, Zoe, family and his music.
It's simply the most beautiful insight into the most beautiful man! showing the world what we the fans, already know and love about one of the most talented Artists in history. Lenny the Artist and Lenny the guy next door! A massive Thank you to Lenny and Mathieu Bitton.

Yes, I wondered the same thing Su Prima! I'm curious to know what made her feel like some of his connections were based on deceit?

I've heard LK mention in numerous interviews that it is indeed difficult to nuture and build a relationship with his career. He's said it's an occupational hazzard =) After spending years with musicians, I can totally relate to that statement.

@ su prima @ Kat Kravitz

One who listens deeply understands! Trusting one's own sense of knowing is the intuitive mindset! Learning to co-exist is like the earth--always balancing between the negative and positive energy! When the earth is in need of balance, we witness lightening striking towards the ground, but we do not always sense it! Same concept in relationships--especially in business!

I have not seen the film yet, but I think Lenny is very lonely in an intimate level.
I wish him with all my heart to find someone with whom to spend the rest of his life.
    Love is a wonderful thing.
But Lenny seems sad and lonely.
    It breaks my heart ...

You know Lenny is ready for love, and really he may be already IN LOVE. Perhaps for himself he is keeping his personal life personal. I just think to myself, "wow, who is he writing these songs to? Sounds like he is in love." Maybe he is in love with life? "To fall in love with your life is TRUE ROMANCE."

Don't fret! Lenny Kravitz is a survivor! I am sure he has intimacy, companionship,
and love! Even within an intimate relationship you can feel lonely!:-(

Everyone deserves love; it depends on the individual as to love's depth! :-)

@ su prima did Cat Kravitz write this? "One question kept coming up for me: does Lenny ever find the time to build relationships outside of his music and business circles?

I can also see deceit within some of the relationships he has! Not all individuals, in a ring of money, are selfless! Just the opposite rings true! He has found co-existence in this paradigm'"

As for your inquiry regarding my original statement:

"One who listens deeply understands! Trusting one's own sense of knowing is the intuitive mindset! Learning to co-exist is like the earth--always balancing between the negative and positive energy! When the earth is in need of balance, we witness lightening striking towards the ground, but we do not always sense it! Same concept in relationships--especially in business!"

When I share my intellect, I am imprinting a message not always appreciated nor respected by the receiver! I wish you real peace!

After spending some time visiting my cool, hip parents in "Appleland," I am one step closer to watching this documentary that I have been anticipating. I have learned new technological computing terms such as "Cloud." For all those who also do not have access to iTunes or Apple devices, ask people you know if they have the iTunes app or can download it for you. If they have a PC you can download iTunes (if it is not already on there) and create and verify an account. This allows you to buy the documentary with your credit card (among countless other media) and either watch it then or later. By the time I figured this all out, plus dealt with some other technological issues on the PC, I got 2 hours of sleep this morning (yep, I was that dedicated to figuring this all out). Using someone's actual Apple device links up to their account. I have no idea if there is a way to log out of that and create a new account, but I suppose there is. This experience has taught me one thing: I'm stepping into the new millenium as an artist and buying an Apple device of some kind.

I've watched Looking Back on Love at least 10 times and all I want to do is HUG this man! Then I want to sit down and dig geep into a thought provoking and at some point mindless conversation, while sitting on that beach with Lenny in Eluthera ... :)

I've watched Looking Back on Love I know at least 10 times. All I want to do is HUG this man. Then I want to dig deep into a thought provoking, transferring into a mindless conversation with Lenny on that beach in Eleuthera for about 2 or 3 days...then the world can have him back because we need his music.
